Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-06-13
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of EU AI Act Risk Classifier (https://ai-act.sellerguardrails.com), a free informational tool published by the operator identified in the legal notice. By accessing or using the tool you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This is a free, public, static web tool. There are no user accounts, no registration, no login, no subscriptions and no paid features. Nothing on this site is offered on a subscription or "software-as-a-service" basis.
2. What the tool does — and does not — provide
EU AI Act Risk Classifier maps the answers you enter (your AI system's intended purpose, your role in the value chain, modality and the other gates) to an indicative classification under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act): a risk tier, the primary applicable articles, the relevant deadlines and an estimated fine ceiling under Article 99.
The classification is a structured estimate, not legal advice. It does not establish a lawyer-client relationship, does not constitute binding professional or regulatory advice, and does not guarantee any particular outcome before a competent authority. For decisions with legal or financial consequences you must verify against the current consolidated text of the AI Act and consult qualified counsel.
3. Acceptable use
When using the site you agree to:
- use the information lawfully, without infringing third-party rights;
- not use the site for activities contrary to law or public order;
- not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the security of the service;
- not introduce or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful.
Access requires no registration and no payment. The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend or withdraw the site or any of its contents at any time without prior notice.
4. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." The operator makes reasonable efforts to keep the regulatory dataset accurate and dated, but:
- the regulation, deadlines and Annex III categories may be amended (for example by delegated act under Article 7) after the snapshot date shown on the page;
- the classification is indicative and may not reflect the specific facts of your system;
- the operator does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator accepts no liability for any decision made, or action taken or not taken, on the basis of the tool's output, nor for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Mandatory consumer-protection rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law are unaffected by this clause.
6. Intellectual property
The texts, the classification logic, the dataset and the design of the site are protected by intellectual property rights. Personal, non-commercial use with attribution is permitted. For commercial use or redistribution, contact the operator first. "EU AI Act" and "Regulation (EU) 2024/1689" refer to official EU instruments published by the European Union; this site is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the European Commission or any EU institution.
7. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. We may update these terms; the current version is always the one published at this URL with the date shown above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
